Dog Daycare Life at Fetch Dubai

By now you have probably been trying to work out how to choose a dog daycare in Dubai without falling for the hype. We get it. At Fetch, our crew understands that every dog is unique, so we tailor what we do around their individual needs. Energetic and playful or more of a settle-and-sniff type, they are covered.

We understand the true value in quality free play time over what most sell: quantity free play time. Contrary to common belief, an overly tired dog is not a happy dog. Are you fun and excitable when you are exhausted? Same applies.

Before committing, we strongly recommend reading Our Approach and The Fetch Dubai Experience. Both are important factors when evaluating any provider. And yes, our Boarding dogs join all the daycare fun too.

A Day at Fetch

How the day is structured

Quality free play time over quantity. Every segment of the day is intentional.

7am9am11am1pm3pm5pm7pm
7am - 9am
Arrivals

Staggered drop-offs so the energy stays manageable from the start. Each dog is received and given time to settle before group access opens.

9am - 1pm
Morning Play

Active free play, group enrichment, and individual practice sessions. The highest-energy window of the day.

1pm - 2pm
Rest

Non-negotiable midday rest. Every dog stops and recharges. The crew or a Kong for lunch.

2pm - 5pm
Afternoon

Lower-arousal free play mixed with individual practice and enrichment sessions. Calmer than the morning, still purposeful.

5pm - 7pm
Pick-ups

Staggered, same logic as arrivals. Dogs go home genuinely tired in a good way, not flooded.

Play windows may be shorter for dogs who reach their over-arousal threshold earlier. We read each dog individually, every day.

Themed Daily Activities

Every day has a purpose

To keep things genuinely varied, we theme group activities around the days of the week. Each one is designed around a specific type of engagement.

👃
Monday
Nose Work

Snuffle mats and scent work including our wildlife Sniffaris. Tapping into the most powerful sense a dog has.

🎾
Tuesday
Tennis Ball Day

A high-energy session with hundreds of tennis balls, perfect for the dogs who want to move and chase.

Wednesday
Sports Day

Group activities like bowling and soccer. Builds coordination while desensitising dogs to sudden movements and sounds.

💨
Thursday
Bubble Day

A calming activity that taps into the natural chase instinct. Similar energy to Tennis Ball Tuesday, lower arousal ceiling.

🎬
Friday
Film Club

We wind down the week with a calm, peaceful activity. Low stimulus, high contentment.

🧩
Saturday
Treat Puzzles

Food puzzles and problem-solving challenges that put noses and brains to work. The most satisfying kind of tired.

How Every Day Is Built

Practice. Enrichment. Treats.

As you may have read on our About Us page, we structure everything at Fetch into three essential categories. Each is deliberate. None are optional. Looking for a structured programme for a new puppy? The Fetch Dubai Puppy Club is built for exactly that.

01

Practice

Dogs thrive with purpose. While we incorporate free play and group fun, our activities revolve around each dog's individual practice sessions. These are the non-negotiable foundation of a balanced dog.

Foundation skills are scheduled twice daily until the dog shows genuine confidence in each one. Once solid, they move into group settings where the mental challenge goes up considerably.

02

Enrichment

Our enrichment falls into two broad categories: social enrichment, focused on meaningful contact and interaction with other dogs and our handlers; and environmental enrichment, which improves and enhances the physical space itself.

Environmental enrichment includes toys, feeding puzzles, thoughtful furniture arrangements, and sensory stimulation that promotes exploration over passive boredom.

03

Treats

Treats at Fetch are a tool, not just a snack. We primarily rely on them to reward behaviour we want to see repeated, and they deliver genuine nutritional value through bone broth, prebiotics, and immune-supporting supplements.

Because treats are used throughout the day, all dogs attending Fetch need to be comfortable sharing and free from food reactivity.

Fear Free certified dog handling at Fetch Dubai
Fear and Force Free

Our fear and force-free promise

At Fetch, we believe in fear-free, positive reinforcement and gentle handling. Our experienced staff are trained to use fear and force-free techniques that promote trust and cooperation between our team and your dog.

We operate under PPG Do No Harm standards. No aversive methods, no aversive tools, no corrections. Every interaction is shaped by one question: how does this land for the dog?

Your dog thrives in an environment that encourages their natural behaviours and preferences. That is not a credential we hang on the wall. It is a daily practice.

Skills and Manners

What practice actually looks like

We begin with foundational skills, as outlined in Our Approach, which are vital for every dog regardless of age or background. Once these are mastered, the programme expands.

Foundation Skills

  • Loose-leash walking practice at Fetch Dubai
    Loose-Leash Walking Including stair navigation
  • Gate manners training at Fetch Dubai
Gate Manners Calm entry and exit behaviour
  • Come-to-touch recall training at Fetch Dubai
    Come-to-Touch Reliable recall foundation
  • Sit and stay training at Fetch Dubai
Sit and Stay Core impulse control

Practiced twice daily until the dog demonstrates real confidence in each skill. Then introduced into group settings, which raises the mental challenge significantly.

Advanced Skills and Manners

  • Doorbell Manners
  • Leave It
  • Roll Over
  • Grooming Cooperative Care
  • Cafe Manners
  • Muzzle Conditioning

Advanced skills are introduced once foundation work is genuinely solid, applying those skills in real-world scenarios step by step.

Individual Enrichment

One-on-one sessions, built for each dog

Individual enrichment time is crafted around each dog's interests, energy level, and specific needs. These are some of what we get up to.

Our Approach

The 5-Point Integrative Care Model

At Fetch, truly exceptional dog care is integrative: nurturing not just a dog's body, but their mind, senses, emotions, and social life. Five dimensions, intentionally addressed every day. Read the full model here.

🥗

Nutritional

Bone broth, Adored Beast supplements, Kin + Kind prebiotics, organic peanut butter, and gelatin chosen to support the gut, calm the nervous system, and back immune function.

🧩

Occupational

Scent games, skills practice, problem-solving challenges, and confidence-building exercises. Dogs thrive when they have tasks that make them think and solve.

🌿

Sensory

Scent trails, varied textures, controlled visual stimuli, and calming background sounds. A carefully managed sensory environment where dogs can explore and settle.

🐕

Social

Temperament-matched small group play and consent-based human interaction. Safe, positive socialisation that builds emotional resilience without overwhelming anyone.

🏃

Physical

Structured play, low-impact agility, splash pad time, enrichment walks, and free movement, all designed around each individual dog rather than a one-size programme.

Treats and Nutrition

Treats that actually do something

Kong and lick mat treats at Fetch Dubai
Group lick tray at Fetch Dubai

Frozen lick mats and Kongs are infused with bone broth, Adored Beast supplements, Kin + Kind prebiotics, organic peanut butter, and gelatin. Ingredients chosen to nurture the gut, calm the nervous system, and support immune function.

The soothing benefits of licking are well documented. We use that on purpose, as a deliberate part of the day, not an afterthought.

We are always happy to pivot to other reward types a dog responds to best, including petting or a toy. But treats are our primary reinforcement tool for skills and manners practice. All dogs attending Fetch need to be comfortable sharing and free from food reactivity.

Before Membership Begins

Why there is an acclimatisation process

Every dog joining Fetch goes through an acclimatisation period before any ongoing membership begins. This is the part most facilities skip. It is also why our group dynamics actually work.

Initial assessment

A one-on-one session where we learn how your dog handles the environment, transitions, and initial social exposure, before any group introduction happens.

Gradual group introduction

Short, carefully managed introductions to a small number of familiar dogs. The pace is set by the dog, not the schedule.

Extended sessions

Sessions get longer as confidence builds. We are looking for genuine comfort, not tolerance. There is a meaningful difference between the two.

Full-day trial

Before membership begins, a full-day session confirms the dog is settled across the whole structure, arrivals through to pick-up.

The acclimatisation period is a fixed requirement, not optional and not skippable. It is the foundation that makes everything else possible.

"The team are so lovely here. My dog absolutely loves coming here and cries to be let out when I take too long to park the car! When I moved to Dubai I was anxious about finding a safe, caring daycare for my small dog but very glad I found Fetch."

Who It Is For

Is Fetch the right fit?

Fetch is selective, and that is intentional. The programme is built to serve specific dogs and specific people particularly well.

  • Dogs whose people want more than supervision If you are looking for enrichment, structure, and a team that genuinely understands canine behaviour, this was built for you.
  • Dogs who are social, or learning to be We work with dogs at various stages of social comfort. What we do not work with is unpredictability or a history of aggression that puts the group at risk.
  • People who value consistency Fetch is a membership model. The dogs who benefit most are regulars. The familiar environment, the companions they know, the routines they trust: that is what makes the experience meaningful.
  • People who understand good care takes time to get into The acclimatisation period exists because we take the process seriously. If you need immediate placement, Fetch is probably not the right fit right now, and we would rather be upfront about that.
FAQ

Honest answers

Most dog daycare in Dubai runs on volume: large groups, high turnover, minimal structure. Fetch is a different model entirely. Small screened groups, structured daily pacing, Fear Free certified handling, and a membership system that means we actually know every dog in our care. If you want to understand the full thinking behind it, start with our post on how to choose a dog daycare in Dubai.

We do not screen by breed or size. We screen by temperament and social behaviour. A dog's suitability for group daycare comes down to how they interact, how they handle the environment, and whether our structure is the right fit for them. The assessment tells us far more than a breed or weight ever would.

No. Drop-in access is not available, and that is not a business policy. It is a welfare decision. Introducing an unknown dog into an established group without proper assessment compromises the dynamic for every dog in the space. Every dog in our care has completed the acclimatisation process. That is what keeps the group safe.

Yes. Boarding dogs at Fetch are included in all the daycare fun. They follow the same structured day, the same enrichment sessions, and the same free play windows. Boarding is not a separate, lesser experience. It is the same programme, overnight.

It depends on the dog and the nature of their reactivity. Some dogs who are anxious in other environments settle well in a structured, predictable setting with familiar companions. Others find any group context too much. We assess each dog individually and will be straightforward with you about whether daycare is right for them. Our crew will walk you through what we find.

Yes. If you are looking for a structured programme for a new puppy specifically, the Fetch Dubai Puppy Club is built for exactly that. It is a separate programme designed around the developmental window puppies are in, rather than placing them into the general daycare group.
